Ingredients:

  • Rice flour-1 measurement
  • grated coconut-1 ½ cup
  • 3-4 tsp red chilly powder
  • salt to taste
  • Engu ¼ tsp
  • Ghee ½ cup
  • Water to mix

Ingredients:

  • Rice 3 measurements
  • Black gram dhal 1 measurements
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Engu 1 pinch
  • Jeera 1 tsp
  • Ghee 2-3 tsp

Kadle Hittina Halwa - Sweet

Ingredients:

  • Besan flour
  • Milk
  • Ghee
  • Sugar
  • Raisins
  • Cashewnuts
  • Saffron (optional)


Instructions:


Mix Besan flour, Ghee, Milk, Sugar in the ratio 1 cup: 1.5 cups: 2 cups: 2.5 cups.

Stir well until all the flour dissolves in the liquid. Then heat the mixture. Keep on stirring the mixture, until you get the Halwa texture (the flour smell should go!).

Ingredients: (for a bowl full)

  • Raw Mango - 1
  • Jaggery (2-3 according to the sourness of mango)
  • Red Chillies (4-5)
  • Sesame 1/2 tsp
  • musturd seeds 1/4 tsp
  • urad daal 1/4 tsp
  • begal gram 1/4 tsp
  • methi (fenugreek) seeds 1/4 tsp
  • grated coconut 2-3 table spoon
  • curry leaves 3-4.

Tomato Dosa

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes - 2 big
  • urud dal - 1/4 cup
  • toor dal - 1 tsp
  • raw rice - 1 cup
  • par boiled rice - 1 cup
  • gram dal - 1 tsp


Instructions:

 

Soak the above in water for 6 hours. Grind tomatoes into a watery liquid. Grind the soaked ingredients using the tomato liquid instead of water into a very fine paste.


Make the dosas and serve hot with coconut chutney.
